East Suburban Artists League presents Winter Members Show at Monroeville Public Library’s Elaine Biondi Gallery Space

East Suburban Artists League (ESAL) presents their annual Winter Members Show at Monroeville Public Library’s Elaine Biondi Gallery Space November 27 to December 27.

Guests are welcome at the Reception and Holiday Party, which will be held Saturday, December 14, 6-8pm. Admission is free. Vote for People’s Choice Award.

This year’s exhibit includes an exceptional variety of artwork, traditional to abstract. ESAL artists work in all types of media, styles and techniques including: paintings in watercolor, acrylic, pastels, and oil; photography; fiber arts; various media including collage, mosaics, and monoprint.

Most artwork will be for sale. A portion of the sales will benefit the non-profit group, Friends of the Monroeville Public Library.

Elaine Biondi Gallery Space is located in the Monroeville Public Library at 4000 Gateway Campus Boulevard, off of Mosside Boulevard, in the Gateway School Complex. The Gallery is open Monday-Thursday 9am-9pm, Friday and Saturday 9am-4pm, and closed Sundays.

ESAL is a nonprofit organization and was formed in 1965 to foster arts and crafts and to educate, inspire and encourage artists and patrons in Pittsburgh’s eastern suburbs. ESAL sponsors lectures, networking, workshops, and League-sponsored shows, displays and exhibits.

ESAL is composed of photographers and artists working in all media from Pittsburgh’s eastern suburbs. They meet monthly from Sep-Nov and Feb-May, to foster arts and crafts and to educate, inspire and encourage artists and patrons throughout this area. ESAL meetings are usually held the first Thursday of each month (from September to May) at 6:30 p.m. in the lower level of Christ Lutheran Church on Route 286 at Logan’s Ferry Road (in Northern Murrysville) and are highlighted by an informative speaker and/or arts and crafts demonstration by an area artist or expert in their artistic field.  Members are also encouraged to bring and show their artwork to the group.  The meetings are open to the public and visitors are welcome.

Social time with refreshments begins at 6:30 and members’ artwork is showcased at 6:45 during “Show and Tell”. Our guest speaker program is 7:00 – 8:00, followed by the ESAL business meeting.
