Based on an article in the TibLive dated March 28, 2019 by Dillon Carr.

A newly renovated art center in Latrobe will showcase East Suburban Artists League pieces through April.

From April 3-27, the Latrobe Art Center will welcome around 80 pieces of art, including oil, acrylic, watercolor and pastel paintings, photography, drawings in ink and pencil and crafts.

The 44 ESAL artists hail from communities throughout Westmoreland and Allegheny counties, according to the organization.

The show’s judge will be Diane Murray, of South Hills. Murray is an artist and photographer who is active in many art groups in the region. She also teaches techniques used in soft pastels, watercolors and using an iPad to create art, according to an ESAL news release.

There will be an opening ceremony for the art show from 6 to 8 p.m. April 13. Admission is free.

Several of the pieces will be available for purchase.

The artwork will be on display from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
